experience works
April has spent 15 years in museums, working from the ground up in a range of positions and with many responsibilities. Working with and within diverse types of institutions, including Natural History, History, Art, Parks, Historic Homes, and Sports, April's background allows for flexibility working with each client.
April's museum background began at the Field Museum in Chicago working as an art handler, then moved to San Francisco where she earned her master's degree in Museum Studies, with an emphasis on exhibits. Subsequent museum work included a university art gallery manager position, a guest curator position where she explored the history of surfing, and a position as Curator of Exhibits for a regional history museum and historic house, developing over 50 in-house exhibits. Laughing Guava Exhibit Services now allows April's talents to benefit museums and other cultural organizations of all sizes.
